The reading was 148 psi at 17:25. At 17:40 it was 146. At 17:55 it was 144. At 18:10, the pressure was largely unchanged. This evidences there isn’t a major leak in the line, certainly not enough to cause the sensor to go off if the door is open on the locker. The sensor must be defective. The fact is. I rarely have the solenoid open more than 15m when I am cooking. I don’t like the idea of using the system without a detector, but I don’t have much choice. I have discovered Uber works and it would cost $30-35 USD each was for the trip to pick up the part. For that I could rent a car for a day, but it wouldn’t be as convenient. I went to sleep at 19:50, shortly after dark. I had marine traffic on the VHF, more than usual. At 4:00 it woke me up briefly, I turned the radio off, and was able to fall back to sleep until 6:00. Best night’s sleep I have had in some time. Sunrise will be at 7:04. I woke up and got to work. I patched the asymm with tape (will sew a patch later). I ordered the parts for the engine. They are being shipped overnight from Melbourne. I got my temporary membership to the sailing club (showers and laundry) and picked up a rental car. I went to a chandlery and found the rope and other items I need (I will e-mail the actual order today and pick it up tomorrow). I went to a hardware store and picked up two 5 kg bottles for propane then went to have them filled. While at the hardware store I called the place near Cairns that is sending my the solenoids for the windlass and the TillerPilot and arranged for them to be delivered to the Sailing Club on Friday. There was another chandlery nearby and I remarkably found some imperial thread adapters that may fix my broken tanks. I visited a bakery and a grocery store before hauling the stuff back to the boat about 15:00. I e-mailed bottle the ABF and Biosecurity to see if I can check out from both on Friday. Tomorrow I am cleaning the boat, sewing the sail, doing laundry, hopefully picking up the engine part, and if I do, fix the engine.

Current Position: 12 25.753’S 130 48.795’E; Local Timezone: UTC+9.5 SOG: At Anchor.
