I no longer had the anchorage to myself. It took on an entirely different character. I fell asleep by 19:00 and woke up again at 2:00. I checked the weather and this morning will be relatively calm, but the rest of the week to winds will be in the 20s with gusts in the 30s. It will be nearly impossible to dock at customs. Further, the weather offshore is not going to be great for a passage when I had planned. It would be better to go to the customs dock this morning and leave for Vanuatu tomorrow. I started to get the boat ready to move at 6:00 and hauled anchor right after sunrise. I was at the Custom\u2019s dock by 10:00 and finished with the paperwork and on a mooring ball by 11:00. I was lucky in that I got the last one. It was in an unfavorable location \u2026 difficult to get to. I went to town to pick up some last-minute provisions. I am having dinner with Ruby Gates and Ron Kucera, two friends from San Carlos who arrived a day ago.
